AIM OF THE MASTER'S PROGRAM IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
Occupational health and safety master's program with thesis has been gaining more and more importance with the enactment of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 in 2012. This program aims to contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases by focusing on ensuring the health and safety of employees.
Within the specialization requirements in the field of engineering, the master's program in occupational health and safety with thesis has become one of the most preferred programs today. Students who complete the program are entitled to participate in the Class B Specialization Examination of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

In addition, Occupational Health and Safety Undergraduates, Graduates of all Engineering-Architecture departments, Graduates of Chemistry, Physics, Biology departments of the Faculties of Science and Letters, Graduates of technical teaching departments, Nursing and Health Officer graduates, Forestry Faculty graduates, Agriculture Faculty graduates, Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration graduates can apply.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of Occupational Health and Safety Master's Degree (with thesis -Interdisciplinary) Programs, according to their undergraduate fields and the OHS Legislation in force, are entitled to take the specialization exam and if the exam result is successful, they can have a "Class B Specialization Certificate". In addition, according to their undergraduate field (Nursing-Health Officer), they can work in public and private institutions by qualifying to be Other Health Personnel (DSP). On the other hand, graduates who want to continue their academic career can apply to doctoral programs. Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration and other undergraduate graduates will be eligible to take the specialization exam if they study at least associate degree Occupational Health and Safety Department in addition to the master's degree.
Candidates who have a Master's Degree in Occupational Safety will be able to respond to the need for qualified personnel in this field in all sectors in Turkey and abroad with the qualified information they have acquired.
